This book gives us our first look at The
Alliance an undisclosed government agency that Ford
is working for. His assignment deals
with capturing a runaway scientist and stopping him from giving a deadly toxin
to the terrorist. Along the way he meets Shay and the fun begins. Being related
to the wayward scientist puts Shay right in the thick of things and just when
she thinks nothing else can go wrong she finds out that the man she is falling
for is not the man she thinks he is.
Shay must decide if she can trust her feelings ans trust Ford. Their
emotions are strong but is it truly love between them or is it all an act?
Could Ford be the man for Shay?
I enjoyed meeting Shay and Ford and getting
their story. Ford is a good man and fights for what is right. He truly feels
something for Shay and soon becomes upset with lying to her. Shay is a strong
woman and a good match for Ford. The two
make a good couple. As we get to see the action and drama going on with Ford’s
team. We are treated to Shay and Ford’s relationship taking shape. Ford is torn
between the woman he cares for and his job.
Does he have to choose loyalty to his team or loyalty to his heart?
This book has characters full of emotion and
depth. There is action, romance and suspense tied up nicely together in this
story. Not only do we get Ford and Shay’s story but we get to meet a few more
alpha males ready to have their own story told.
This is an objective review and not an
endorsement of this book.
