This
book continues Az and Drill’s story. Now that the two have bonded as keeper and
dragon they are going to move upstairs and out of the cramped basement. When
Drill finally gets his Az to their new home they get to enjoy a wonderful
period of bliss. That is until the fateful night that Drill must protect his
dragon. What will happen when the others find out about Az. How will Drill keep
Az safe? So many questions to be answered all Drill knows is that wherever his
dragon goes he goes. He loves Az and will never let him go.
As
we get to watch Az and Drill situate themselves sin their new home we get to
see their love deepen. Az begins to feel safe and quickly makes himself at
home. Drill is just as happy and eager to teach Az some new things. The love
that they have for each other shines through in everything that they do. It is not
always sunshine and roses for the two but they continue to love each other and
work through it all. I enjoyed watching their relationship deepen and grow
stronger. The two rely on Pirou for many things but soon it looks as if they
will have to ask more friends for help. It was nice to see the shifters rally
together and help one of their own and I hope that we get to read their stories
as well, especially Pirou.
This story moves quickly and pulls the reader in right from the start. Drill and Az are both wonderful characters. So full of life and emotion they quickly endeared themselves to this reader.
