Two people from different worlds find themselves together and against all odds find an attraction blooming between them. Raven and Dennis have something but will fear drive it away?  Life has dealt Dennis a raw deal and he must make some hard choices now that his life has turned upside down. The feelings that he experiences are new and he does not want to give them up but he must find a way to keep them from the evil that lurks in his life and above all keep Raven safe.  Has Dennis truly found love and what will he do now that he may have found it?

John - Paul Barrel brings this story to life with his wonderful narration.  Raven is a good man and always sees the good in others. He wants only to please everyone but he never pleases himself. That never comes into question until Dennis arrives in his life. Dennis knows all too well about pleasing others especially family. There is an instant attraction between the two and I enjoyed seeing the two attempt to see where it might go. Family and obligations always seem to get in their way but their feelings cannot be dismissed so easily.  Dennis and Raven must learn to fight for themselves and each other.  Raven shows Dennis just how much he truly is worth.  Dennis soon learns what true friendship and love is but is it enough?  I enjoyed seeing the truth behind Dennis and that he had problems of his own and that he had reasons for doing what he did in the previous story that he was in.  This is a nice addition to the Long Pass Chronicles series by Tara Lain.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
