Snow
is a quiet man, he is a chess-master with a secret; he is in love with the
schools most famous jock. Riley has a secret too. He longs to live his life the
way he wants and truthfully. The two are from totally different worlds yet they
are drawn together. You would never imagine these two falling in love but that
is what begins to happen between Snow and Riley. As the two men begin to
realize just what their relationship could become other dangers come to the
forefront. Someone does not want Snow to win the latest tournament and will do
anything to see that he loses not only the game of chess but maybe even the
game of life.
Kale
Williams does a nice job of narrating and bringing this story and its
characters to life. I enjoyed this take on the old fairy tale that we all grew
up reading. Love is a dream come true and in this story you will find and
recognize the players of this game and you will cheer for love. The
characters are full of depth and emotions. This is a fast paced story that
grabs on and holds your attention all the way to the end. The men must fight
hard for their love and trust. I enjoyed seeing Snow blossom into the wonderful
man that he does. With help from his new friends Snow might get his fairy tale
ending after all. Tara Lain weaves a great story about finding and fighting for
true love.
This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this
book.
