Liberty Wrainwright is looking for her father who seems to have disappeared. She needs someone to help her look for him and that someone is Brady St. James, otherwise known as The Saint. She left him six years ago after a hot affair, but now she’s back. Brady is stunned to see her again. As they go off to find Liberty’s father, the old flames rise up and threaten to scorch the pair of them. They realize that their attraction never dimmed. Now, they not only have to sort out the inferno that threatens rational thinking, they also have to find out a way of keeping themselves alive so they can achieve their own happy ever after. A legend, a strange race who indulge in strange sexual practices and Liberty’s ex-husband cause them almost more trouble than they can handle.
This is a scorcher of a story. Sexual tension runs very high and the sex scenes are amazingly hot and emotional. There is a very nice ménage scene in this book. Liberty and Brady are characters that the reader can care for and they both leap from the pages. This reviewer was rooting for them until the very end. The dialogue between these two is sassy and sharp. This reviewer thoroughly enjoyed their bumpy road to the realization of love almost more than the just as bumpy road to finding Liberty’s father. Ms. Schroeder writes a mean plot that keeps the reader on the edge of her seat and adds a sweet twist at the end. If you haven’t read a book by this talented writer before, this reviewer insists you do so as soon as possible. You will not be disappointed.
