Ella St. James is considered a beauty and can probably get any man she wants. She is also a witch with powers. At this time in her life, Ella doesn’t want a husband but she does want a child. She also wants to find the man responsible for her friend’s death. Ella does her own sleuthing but finds Thomas Donovan hovering around. Thomas is enchanted by Ella but he has secrets of his own.
Ella is a very strong woman as well as being a witch. At the beginning, we don’t know what powers she possesses but it is slowly revealed to us as the story progresses. Thomas is a man with a lot to hide. He had a torturous past and his present seems to be filled by Ella. Thomas is extremely attracted to her while she rejects him. This is a man capable of very deep emotions. The author has created two very distinct and interesting characters. The chemistry between them is very strong and palpable. Readers will be pleased with how the author develops them. The storyline has a few twists and there is a reason why Ella and Thomas always seem to run into each other. I certainly won’t spoil it for you; read the book and you’ll know why!
UNDER YOUR SPELL is the first book in a new series by Ms. Greiman featuring witches set in a historical romance. You will thoroughly enjoy the story, the characters and the build-up to the following books. This is a great introduction to this new trilogy and it just whets the appetite for the next one.
