Bloodline is an interesting tale, and Ethan is a gallant hero but a cautious hero most of the time, except where his brother is concerned. He likes to have a plan and do some research. He’s an interesting character, with a sensible head on his shoulders. He has a love of horses and is a sucker for lost causes.
Lilith is a very strong character, with the annoying habit of charging in without a thought to consequences. She has no idea who or what she is and is caught up in vengeance and saving others no matter the cost.
The romance between them blossoms well and their love strengthens, until Lilith becomes too impulsive. As they begin to hunt out the people who changed them, they face danger in many ways as they try to find ‘The Farm.’

BLOODLINE
is an interesting concept from a prolific author. The story-line was quite good, but a bit predictable in some places. The settings were well done, drawing the reader into the characters world very well. There was a huge unanswered question that distracted me. Where did the vampire Ethan, get the money for his farm and horses, especially when we learn he’s only been on the run two years?
How could he have worked with no ID? So did he steal the money? It would also have to have been a night job as he slept during daylight hours. As for James, Ethan’s brother, it would have been interesting to have him get his head back together in another book, and maybe pop up in the future. I hope Ms. Shayne writes another book, so readers can learn how the other inmates managed.

THIS IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT OF THIS BOOK. THIS IS AN OBJECTIVE UNBIASED REVIEW
