Earth has been destroyed and what is left of humanity has split into three groups: the shippers, the combatants and the nukes. Tension roils between the three and for JJ; working with nukes is a slap in the face. A trained combatant, she fights the other two groups even as their numbers are depleted. With a treaty between the nukes and the combatants, JJ has to put aside her animosity towards them and try to work together unfortunately, who she is partnered with just annoys her to death even as sexual tension simmers. Can JJ and Rub find a way to work together as they try to take New Isosceles away from the shippers?

I love this new title from debut author, Leigh Wood. It was a fast paced, action fueled ride from start to finish with some amazing characters to keep you intrigued. ON THE WAY TO NEW ISOSCLES is a fun science fiction/futuristic story that leave you wishing for more when the last page is read. Ms. Wood is a talented author and storyteller. Her vivid world building will capture the imagination of her readers and I was lost in the story as I rooted for JJ and Rub to finally get together. With some wonderful light moments that had me giggling, Ms. Woods creates a story that has the possibility of happening in the future.

JJ is a highly trained combatant after earth is destroyed. Fighting the other two groups (shippers and nukes), JJ is as hard nosed as she is tough. Determined to not let her animosity get in the way of her commanders peace treaty with the nukes, she finds herself annoyed with the Nuke Lieutenant, Rub, who is as annoying as he is sexy. These two main characters are great together. It took a bit for me to even like Rub as he is macho and can be quite a pain in the butt but the scenes with JJ had me smiling and rooting for them to get together. Throw some enjoyable secondary characters and the reader is eager for more. I hope Ms. Wood delves back into her wonderful world she has created in ON THE WAY TO NEW ISOSCELES.

MS. Wood debuts a strong, action adventure story that leaves the reader eager for much more. From the first to the last page, ON THE WAY TO NEW ISOSCELES is a wild ride with some memorable characters. If you like a futuristic story that keeps you glued to the pages, then grab ON THE WAY TO NEW ISOSCELES and settle in for one heck of a ride.

THIS IS NOT AN ENDORSEMENT OF THIS BOOK. THIS IS AN OBJECTIVE UNBIASED REVIEW.
