Welcome to Trinity Blacio's guest blog

Welcome Ms. Trinity Blacio to Love Romances and More, thank you for joining us.

Did you always want to become a writer?

I’ve always written stories. Even when I was young, but becoming an author, no. I never thought of trying until about eight years ago when my mom said something to me about writing my stories down.

What is the most, and the least interesting fact about writing?

Well the most interesting would have to be the research. I loved to work on history projects in HS. It was my best subject. Okay, with the way my brain works and my little handicap, I would say editing is the hardest for me. I’ve always had a problem learning anything, but grammar, and math always give me headaches.

How did you celebrate your first release? What was it like to see your book in a bookstore? Do you have a special ritual for celebrating a book release?

When my first story came out we were broke, so no celebrating here. My friend, Lex Valentine, came through though and sent us a gift card for Pizza Hut. So our family had pizza that night because of her.

Haven’t seen my books yet in a book store. All of them are on line. I’m hoping to have one in print by June 2010.

No special ritual here for new releases. Usually I’m so busy with other edits, working, or dealing with kids.

How did your family react to fact that you write romance novels? Have your family read your book?

My kids love it. My daughter has a habit of stealing all my pens and pencils and taking them to school. Now my son loves it, too, but when he sees the covers for most of them and usually says, ‘Eewww, Mom.’ No one has read my books expect my step-father and mother. Both of them brag to everyone about it.

Most authors are also avid readers. Is this the case with you? If so, who are some of your favorites? Have any influenced your writing?

Oh yes! I can sit down and read a 400-page book in one night if it’s good. Laura Dane, Kenyon, Feehen, Hamilton, Jaid Black, Angela Knight. There are so many that I love.

Many different authors have influenced my writing. Before I started writing I met Mandy Roth at a signing and we had time to chat. She encouraged me to try my hand at it. Also Faith Bicknell-Brown has helped me tremendously when it comes to learning the rules of grammar and punctuation. With my handicap, I have a problem with my short term memory. I can learn something one day, but totally forget it the next. So it’s a continuing process of learning. Faith has never given up on me just used different ways of teaching me to help me learn and remember.

Do you feel each of your characters live with you as you write? Do their lives sometimes take over a part of your life? Can you name an example? Do you have living role models for your characters?

My characters are part of me. I dream of them during the day and at night. I wish some of them would take over part of my life, but (sighs) that’s not going to happen.

Hmm, an example? That would have to be the new series I’m working on now involving jinn’s. I have so many ideas that sometimes I have to push them in the back of my mind to concentrate on other aspects of my life.

Sadly, no there are no models for my characters. Most of them come from my dreams.

Where do you get the inspirations for your books?

Movies, music, work, and the big one: my dreams.

Do you find it difficult at times to write love scenes?

Yes! There are only so many ways to write a love scene, so to come up with different ways is a challenge.

Do you have a problem with deadlines and have you ever suffered a writers’ block?

Typically I get my edits and stuff back before deadlines. I hate being late for anything. Writers block? Oh, yeah. Usually I’ll put that particular story away for a day and work on another story. Than snap! It’s there.

Do you prefer stand-alone books or series (As a reader or a writer) ?

When I read a book I can always see ways to make that book into a series. So I would have to say series as my answer. Right now I have at least three different series I’m working on.

If you could change places with one character from your book, who would it be and why?

That would be a book I put on hold a long time ago. It is the first novel I ever wrote, and one day soon I plan to pull it out and revise it. It’s called Shannon’s Dream or Reality. It’s an erotic sci-fi novel.

What is your favourite book from the books that you have written so far? Who are your favourite hero and heroine, and why?

Hmm this is hard. I would have to say my favourite is Remi in my short pre-story Searching for the Perfect Mate. He’s searching for the perfect woman. Which in away we are all searching for something, love, money, fame. Unless you have already found what you want, then you are lucky. My favourite heroine would have to be Shannon. She is the main heroine in the story I mentioned before. My first novel the one that sits on the back burner.

Would you like to give another genre a try?

Yes I would love to try my hand at erotic historicals and westerns.

Which book was the hardest to write and which the easiest?

The hardest to work on—and one I’m still working on—would have to be Dangerous Possession. This, too, is a series. The easiest would be Remi’s story Searching For the Perfect Mate. It was all there in my mind and ready to be typed out.

If you could choose of your books for a movie, which one would it be and who would you as the cast?

My Series Running in Fear with Remi. I could see Remi being played by someone like Gerald Butler.

If you could travel through time to visit a special time period or famous person, what or who would it be and why?

I would love to visit the Renascence period. Castles and knights, mmm! I would love to meet the Knights of the Round Table too. Boy, I could have some fun with them!

Do you listen to music while you are writing and if so what music is it?

Sometimes. If I’m on a roll, then no. The music will distract me. But I love to listen to different music. It all depends on what scene I’m writing. Example: I love to listen to Evanescence when I’m in a hot sex scene.

Big congrats to your latest release, can you please tell us something about the book?

Searching for the Perfect Mate is about a werewolf looking for a woman not afraid of his size and his powers. He comes to find out later in the next book that his mate also has two other men that are her mates. They’re all werewolves and all sorts of different shape shifters.

Are you working on anything right now, and can you tell us a teaser about these projects?

I’m currently working on two different stories. Well, one actually I just sent one of them off to the publishing house. Doing the waiting dance now. It’s the second book for Remi called: Running in Fear: Escaped. It’s a novel about a woman who has been on the run for over half of her life. She has special powers also. She gives her mates hell, and I love it.

The second I’m working on is my new jinni series called A Jinni’s Quest for Love. There will be many different stories about jinni’s looking for mates in the human realm. The first story is that of Triad, Trenton, and Becca. Of course it’s a ménage story.

I’m trying incorporate a little of mafia in the story right now, but it’s hard because I need to keep it short. I have a tendency to write long–and I mean long—stories. Even when I edit, I add more to my stories.

Nice interview, hon.

I might whack you a lot with my cyber newspaper over at AWH, but your determination will take you miles, sweetie. Never give up.

Study and write until you drop, then get up and do it some more!
