It has some wonderfully well written characters, is action packed and has some hot sexual tension between Michael and Victoria that fairly melts the computer screen. I absolutely enjoyed the spirit guides. They were like the three stooges and gave the story a bit of humor that had me giggling like crazy whenever they showed up on the pages. I have never read this author before and found her writing to be tight, the story flowed nicely and the characters were multi-dimensional.
Meet Victoria Bloom, a woman who witnessed a demon kill her mother in cold blood. With the help of three spirit guides, she finds herself on the eve of her twenty-fifth birthday calling an angel down in her time of need, for the demon, Asmodeous is back and gunning for her. Except she doesn’t quite expect the angel to be an archangel and so sexy, her breath is swept away. Michael is ticked off at being summoned and shaking in his angelic boots. Victoria isn’t just a woman, but also his soul mate. Oh god, when Michael came on the pages, I just about dropped my e-reader and ran for a cold shower. He was smokin’ hot and alpha to the core but was vulnerable to Victoria’s charm and beautiful soul. These two are a perfect combination and the way they danced around the fire that grew between them, left me squirming in my seat. The sex scenes were tastefully done and did not take away the story or steal the show. There some wonderfully intriguing secondary characters (spirits anyone?) who I definitely would love to see more of in the future.
If you enjoy hot sexy archangel, demons bent on killing and some voyeuristic spirits, then grab MY AVENGING ANGEL and settle in for a wicked ride from start to finish. I will definitely check out more of this author’s books in the future and hope she comes back to the world of angels and demons.
