Dee Davis’ DANGEROUS DESIRES is testosterone, adrenaline, deception and drug lords - oh boy.

In an attempt to save her sister from a downward spiral into drugs, Madeline ends up in a San Mateo prison. To get out, she agrees to work for a drug lord to pay off her sister’s debt. When she discovers her sister is now dead, Madeline turns to the American Embassy for help. A-TAC operative Drake is part of a team sent in to extract Madeline and destroy a hidden weapons cache that she has knowledge of. From the moment they meet, sparks are flying as they dodge bullets and bad guys.

Drake, like his fellow A-TAC operatives, is one strong, sexy and smart soldier. And he has his mind set about Madeline before he even meets her. He doesn’t trust her. Madeline’s life has never been easy and proving herself to Drake may just be her biggest obstacle yet. Their romance is dangerous and daring and desperately deserved by both characters.

The story is fast paced and intriguing. The jungle setting adds heat and a sense of time running out that keeps readers riveted. The secondary story, the mystery mole in A-TAC, continues to cause trouble in DANGEROUS DESIRES that cleverly carries into the next book. Suspicion surrounds every character, yet no one seems likely. Davis does know how to keep her readers guessing.

Like the first book in Dee Davis’ A-TAC series, DANGEROUS DESRIRES is filled with suspicion and sabotage. Readers who enjoy alpha heroes and stories with a military flavor, in this romance with action galore, are sure to find this book a must read.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
