For Matthew ‘Matty’ Parker, he needs to be organized in this crazy chaotic world. It is just the way he is wired so when he decides, one day, to join a dating site, he wasn’t expecting to meet anyone. All he was looking for was a way to change his life a little. He got that and more when a man by the screen name of ‘Always MJ’ entered his world and from then on Matthew was smitten as he fell in love with a man he only knew from words on a screen. But when he does the most impulsive thing and goes to meet his online friend in Florida, Matthew finds that Jay, his online love, is someone Matty knows all too well. Can Matty find a way to forgive Jay and let himself fall for the one man who has always been in front of his eyes?
SJD Peterson’s cute story of two people who find that their perfect mate was in front of their eyes is just what my doctor ordered recently when I was on bed rest for a few days. This is an author who knows how to make their characters so life-like and real, I felt I could meet them on the street. I loved the way Matty and Jay met and though the shocker of finding out, alongside Matty, that Jay is someone totally different, left me reeling and then rooting for these two to be together. The story moves nicely and the sex scenes are well written.
Meet Matthew or Matty as his friends call him. He is logical, deliberate and organized. That is what and how to describe him so when he does the unthinkable and jumps into a dating site one lonely night, Matty gets more than he bargains for when he ‘meets’ ‘Always MJ’. Here was the man he had longed for but Jay (Always MJ) has a secret, one that threatens everything with Matty. These two are absolutely delightful together. I loved the way these two complimented one another and with the lush backdrop of Florida beaches and sunshine, Ms. Peterson delivers a sweet and caring story of two people who find that one perfect lover they longed for. The sparks fly as soon as Matty discovers who Jay is really and though I was hoping Matthew would let Jay twist in the wind a bit more, the author does a wonderful job in creating the angst that has the story really moving after the big reveal.
If you are looking for a lovely afternoon read, then you better grab ALWAYS MJ and then settle in for an afternoon of fun, sandy beaches and a love that two people never thought they would have together. SJD Peterson is a talented writer and one I thoroughly enjoy with each book she writes. I can’t wait to see what else she has in store for her readers next.
This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
