Brynn is an inner city teacher who wants to teach her students to dream and dream big. Hannah is determined to do the right thing even if she is making the wrong choice for all the wrong reasons. Jenny is a small town girl who comes to the big city to make it big on Broadway but her love for her small town is outweighing her desire to be a star. This Christmas, angels Shirley, Goodness and Mercy find they need to answer three prayers for these three women who find they will need all the help they can get in realizing their own unspoken dreams of the heart.

Debbie Macomber delivers wonderful stories that come straight from the heart. In her acclaimed angel series, she gives readers another chance to enjoy her slightly ditsy yet wonderful angels, Shirley, Goodness and Mercy with three stories set in New York City at the most magical of time-Christmas. I absolutely adore this author and her wonderful books. With her trademark writing style, captivating characters and stories that steal your heart, Mrs. Macomber always delivers to her readers, no matter what the story idea. This was my first time reading about this author’s wonderful angel trio and I got to admit, they made me smile, giggle and fall in love with them. Christmas is magical no matter what but in New York City it comes alive for three special women. I loved getting to know Brynn, Hannah and Jenny and loved how they found their heart’s desires-with a little help from above.

The stories move seamlessly into one another and the reader is never pushed outside which sometimes happen in a trio of stories in one book. Ms. Macomber has a way of creating something that is pure magic in her books and TOUCHED BY ANGELS is just that-magical in every sense of the word. The author does a lovely job in conveying an inner school system and doesn’t sugarcoat it at all with Brynn’s story. Her romance with Roberto is wonderful as well. Hannah’s story was a little different as it also included a Jewish family in this Christmas book. I felt Hannah needed to grow a backbone but her forbidden romance with Joshua was well written if a tad romantic, in my opinion as well. Jenny’s story was a little different. She already had a relationship of sort with Trey, growing up with him in her small hometown so the readers were not treated to their beginnings of a romance but it worked well in this book. The angels delivered some wonderful humorous bits that had me giggling at times though I would love to see them have more of a presence in future books if possible.

TOUCHED BY ANGELS
is a lovely holiday read to read anytime, not just during the holiday season. If you enjoy heartwarming stories that will steal your heart, then grab TOUCHED BY ANGELS and settle in for an afternoon of reading pleasure. I look forward to seeing what else this author has in store for these three angels in the future.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
