Jenson makes and runs moonshine, having inherited the family business. A bite from a werewolf complicates his life considerably, but just as he’s getting that sorted out an incredibly sexy man shows up.

David’s been bitten by a werewolf and is following the scent to kill the man and find out how to deal with the itches in his skin. His nose leads him to Jenson.

This is a fun story with lots of humor, interesting situations, fist fights, chases and two men learning about each other. It’s a good twist on the whole werewolf scenario, leavened by light-hearted wit, and a nice dose of “boys will be boys”. All wrapped up in all a good, entertaining read.

David and Jenson are both interesting characters, and the way they deal with each other, learn and grow, is nicely handled, as you’d expect from two such veteran authors as Julia Talbot and BA Tortuga.

The bulk of the story is erotic romance, primarily sex scenes as the men get to the basics of what they both want and need. These scenes are vividly told and erotic, showing how the characters relate to each other and develop. But I’d still have preferred a little more plot instead of so much sex.

The ending neatly ties up David and Jenson’s story, but leaves open the possibility of a sequel with other characters.

The cover was very accurate to the plot but didn’t hint at erotic romance or gay romance, which is interesting when the sex formed by far the largest component of the book.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement of this book.
