Talking with Wendy Zwaduk/Contest

Welcome to Love Romances & More Reviews Wendi Zwaduk. Comfortable? Let’s begin, shall we? Please tell us a little bit about yourself.

To get us started can you tell us a little about what you are working on or have coming out? My short story, Best I Ever Had, just came out in March and I couldn’t be happier. I love this story because it took on a life of its own. It started out as a flash fiction piece I wasn’t sure what to do with, then evolved into a 1000 word short story for Whipped Cream Reviews. I liked it, but there was something about it I needed to expand. So...I did. And it grew another character as well as over 10,000 extra words. I’m glad I made it longer.

How would you describe yourself using only five words? Blue, blunt, bouncy, loyal, fun-sized

Do you have any guilty pleasures? Chocolate and listening to my tunes really loud in the Jeep.

Name one thing readers would be surprised to know about you. – I’m originally a blonde.

Is music a factor for you while you are writing? Do certain songs put you in the right frame of mind to write certain stories? Yes! I have play lists, but two of the ones that are dead wringers to get me to write are Duran Duran songs – Come Undone and Ordinary World. Grin. Detroit Rock City by KISS is good, so is I Want It All by Queen. What am I saying? Pretty much ALL of Queen gets me writing. J

What is the strangest source of writing inspiration you’ve ever had? I was at the hardware store and the guy working the paint counter had an interesting name – Krieg (pronounced Craig). My mind started working with his name and it turned into a wolf shifter for my pen name and the name of a potential hero in an unnamed short story (unnamed because I haven’t even started it yet – it’s only in notes! *G*)

Thanks for coming. Is there anything else you want to add?

If the readers want to catch up with me, here’s where you can find me.

Best I Ever Had by Wendy Zwaduk

The objective—keep her safe. No one said anything about falling in love.

All she wanted was a pint of ice cream, not to be a witness to a double murder. Good thing Emma’s got not one, but two, sexy men willing to keep her safe. As long as she can keep her hands to herself.

Sam’s mission? To find the man responsible for the murder. He’s not going to rest until the streets are safe, even if it means having his best friend guard his best girl. It’s the best option, right?

Quint never dreamed he’d be attracted to his best friend’s lover…and his best friend. He’s got to keep his hands to himself all while figuring out what he wants from life, even if love equals Emma and Sam in Quint’s bed.

Is love in the cards or are they going to go up in flames before they get started?

Hi, Wendy. the story sounds intriguing. Don't you love it when you get an idea and it takes on "a life of its own"? I believe potential stories are everywhere--even in the hardware story. Enjoyed your post.
